Purple Day for Epilepsy – Sunday March 26

Last Wednesday Student Services at USQ Toowoomba Campus promoted Purple Day for Epilepsy – 26 March.  Staff from Student Services sold official merchandise to raise funds for Epilepsy Queensland and also had a range of resources on hand to raise awareness of this serious medical condition.

1 in 50 people are affected by Epilepsy with only 70% of those affected being able to control their condition with medication.  There is no cure for Epilepsy ….. yet.

Epilepsy can affect anyone at anytime of their life.

Go to the Epilepsy Queensland webpage to make a donation so they can continue their wonderful work which includes:

  • Support and counselling
  • Inservice training
  • Community awareness and education
  • Advocacy
  • Information
  • Research

Information, resources and flyers are also available for printing from the Epilepsy Queensland webpage.
